'Spring Awakening' - 2021

Inspired by the coming of the Spring and the growing of the flowers. Depicting a Muscari and Fritillary winding their way around one another, their leaves gently bending.

Made using the traditional Stumpwork technique combined with processes I have developed over the years of my practice this embroidered sculpture is almost entirely made out of thread. With around 60+ hours going into this work it is a piece of nature that you can keep forever.

It comes in a glass top Bell Jar with a felted and signed base.
